My Story
Hi, I’m Dan, the founder of Lead the Pack Canine Services. I live in Sheringham, Norfolk, with my wife, young daughter, and our beloved Rhodesian Ridgeback, Ziggy.
Dogs have always been an integral part of my life. From my childhood to now, I’ve gained years of experience caring for and walking dogs, and I’ve been a proud dog owner for the past 18 years. My journey with dogs hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been deeply rewarding, shaping my passion for providing them with happy, healthy lives.
A Life with Dogs
My first dog, Oscar, was a playful and loving Boxer who joined me in 2006. Tragically he passed away at a very young age due to a misdiagnosed case of lungworm. A heartbreaking experience that left a lasting impact on me. Despite the pain and after some time for reflection, I knew I wanted to give another dog a life filled with love and joy.
Zac then came into my life, a gentle giant of a Rhodesian Ridgeback.
Zac faced his own challenges, being diagnosed with epilepsy at 14 months old. Thanks to dedicated care, regular vet visits, and lots of love, Zac thrived far beyond expectations, living a happy 12 years and 7 months. His story cemented my belief that a dog’s well-being is built on love, care, and, of course, regular walks.
I now share my life with Ziggy, a vibrant and gentle loving Rhodesian Ridgeback who has brought so much joy to our family since joining us in May 2022.
After 25 years working in a different industry, I decided it was time for change, a career that would bring me fulfilment and the chance to work with the animals I love. That’s why I created Lead the Pack Canine Services.
Our mission is simple: to provide your pets with enriching, loving experiences while ensuring they stay healthy and happy.
